IT FOR DEVELOPERS TRACK

It used to be so easy with the Commodore PET. You turned on the computer, a prompt appeared and you loaded and ran your program. Granted, the Commodore PET couldn’t do much—and not very quickly. Today, the challenge just isn’t always in building software, but getting it to run: you develop the program, determine dependencies, verify the operating environment, create a setup process and document the administrative settings. Simply put, developers today have to be mini-admins. IT for Developers isn’t about converting developers into IT admins, instead the track will teach you basic administrative functions related to your development and production environment. The sessions are designed to help you potentially automate or streamline your development process from an IT operations perspective.
